We’re moving. I just didn’t tell my husband yet.

Thanks to New England Home Magazine for these dreamy pics… http://www.nehomemag.com/

Knock, knock…if you live here I may stop by.  I’m neat and quiet and I’m a decent cook.

While orange isn’t my signature color, this family room calls to me.  Maybe it’s the crisp whiteness or the high ceilings, linen slipcovers or that funky lobster that shouts FUN!

I don’t know how to play bocce ball but I’d sit on one of those gorgeous chairs and sip iced coffee while watching other people play.  And I adore hydrangeas.

The outdoor room/porch below had me at brick pavers.  The fantastic mirror and cozy swing reeled me in.

I don’t know if I love, love, love the stripes but the bench and chest and brick entry is definitely my speed.

I think this house would be a bit large for me, and I would feel like I’d have to dress up just to make the bed.  But majestically beautiful it is.

This precious shed (if you would even call it a shed) oozes new england charm.

I have a thing for new england – can you tell?  My travels have been few and far between, but there are many destinations on my list.  If you know of any magical destinations in the area, please share!

  1. That is one fabulous lobster.
Not sure if a resort is what you have in mind, but last year, we booked a weekend at Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI after I read a blurb about its restaurant in Food & Wine. The food was top-notch, our room was luxe, and we had a great time exploring both rural Rhode Island and the old mansions up in Newport. The weekend was magical in every way!
