Walking around in the West Village over the weekend, I realized what a fun area it would be to call home. Lots of restaurants and shops and plenty of people watching. It was during the people watching that I observed something clear about the locals. Most everyone is very into their vibe. I don’t know if it’s a thing that creative types go through in their 20s, but nearly everyone sported deliberately styled clothing and hair. Fashion that’s of the moment. That scene does make the area special in its own way, although maybe too high-maintenance for the likes of myself. Fashion trends and my look has never been something I expend energy on.
In an effort to open my pool of interests I gathered a few ideas for fall. The looks below reflect my idea of what is easy to put together while being cute, clean and classic. Even if your budget is lessthanextravagant, you can still create a wardrobe that makes you feel good when you get dressed in the morning (think Target or Zara). Most of the outfits below are for the casual me, but I included a couple of things for the fancy me. (The fancy me doesn’t get out much, but she can dream.)

Luckily, I have a few fashionistas in my family who nudge me toward staying hip. In the meantime, I’ll be checking out other blogs (maybe yours!) for continued fashion ideas. Have an inspired day!
