Dream a little dream

What did you dream of being when you were little?  A fireman?  A circus performer?

I’ve always wanted to be able to ice skate really well.  Like, at the Olympics.  I’d win the gold, of course.  (I’ve also imagined having an incredible, powerful singing voice, but that definitely won’t ever happen.  Have you heard me sing?)

The last few weekends, we’ve been taking Luke to the local ice arena so he can begin to learn how to skate.  (Madeleine put only her toe pick on the ice and refused to go any further.  Maybe she’s too little yet.)

His instructor was very patient and kind and Luke seemed to be having a great time.  This is a kid who tends to get overwhelmed by trying new things and seeing his enthusiasm was wonderful.  I was so proud!

What have you always wished you could do?
