Happy (Bearded) Friday

Lately it seems like beards are all the rage with guys.

Well, of course with guys.  A woman who achieves a full beard would have to be very patient and motivated!

My husband started growing one full on.  At first I was like, Oh, nooooo.  Get rid of it.  Too scratchy.  Then I got used to and, dare I say, even like it?  But I can’t tell him that in case I change my mind.

There was a point a few days ago when the beard started getting some serious girth and when I looked at Michael I thought, I married a hillbilly.

While I don’t know that it’s fair to command a person to cultivate their facial hair to your (my) liking, he trimmed it the next day.

Here’s a slideshow for you, ladies.  You’re welcome.

Speaking of beards…

I’ve mentioned before my heart skips a beat for Tom Hardy and he has a new film, Locke, coming out in April in which he sports a real-deal beard.

Oh, Tom, can you do any wrong?

Yes, my husband knows about my crush.  Is that allowed in your relationship?  Do you have a list of famous people you’re allowed to crush on?

And where do you stand on beards?  I do love a shadow on a guy, too.

Click here to see the trailer to the film, Locke.  I can’t wait to see it.

Plus, are obsessed with coconut oil, too?  I always have a jar of organic, unrefined coconut oil in the cabinet and now I have these interesting uses to add to my regime.

Happy Friday

  1. I like this post a lot!! Since moving to Norway my Husband aka The Bearded Wonder has been sporting a rather manly version of one. I wrote a post about it a couple of months ago.

  2. Oh my!! SO, my brother-in-law has had a beard for quite some time now. On Christmas Day, he made a comment to my husband in regards to his “manliness” & the fact that he’s never grown a beard. . . Needless to say, that is the day that my husband stopped shaving. I have to say, he IS pretty darn handsome with or without it! He even purchased a fingernail brush to groom & exfoliate the skin underneath his beard. . . Ha! Makes me smile, (as does this post)! 😀
